INGREDIENTS
14 oz French bread rolls (or white bread of your choice)
5 cups (40 oz) water
4 small cinnamon sticks
1 vanilla bean pod (pod and caviar)
1 tbsp Anise seeds
7 whole cloves
8 oz Piloncillio (or Dark brown sugar)
1 ripe banana
2 small to medium apples
1/3 cup roasted pumpkin seeds (or nuts of choice)
7 oz shredded sweetened coconut
8 oz can crushed pineapple
1/4 tsp salt (for apple saute)
3 to 4 tbsp butter (to saute apples and top bread pudding)
*I used an 8 x 8 baking dish
*Bake covered @ 350 ºF for 45 minutes, then uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes
