I've been working on a very simple transmitter for 40m. Using a crystal-stabilized Pierce oscillator and two MOSFET transistors, I've had pretty good luck get a CW signal with a power output of more than 28 dBm. By adding an ATTiny to control keying up of the transmitter, I was able to add three operation modes to this pretty simple RF project. In this video, I demonstrate the three modes of operation. The first mode is a basic CW mode where pressing down the key transmits. By holding the key down for 5 seconds, the mode changes to beacon mode. The third mode is a 1 kHz pulse mode which can be heard using a basic AM shortwave receiver. Schematics and more will be published on my blog. http://abrammorphew.com/notes
