Beyond the Anthropocene | Tomás Saraceno

Could jet-powered aeroplanes one day be replaced by completely emissions-free journeys on air-filled floating sculptures, kept aloft by heat and air currents? That’s the dream of Tomás Saraceno, an artist trained as an architect who is currently in residence at the MIT Center for Art, Science and Technology.
