Bad Check Pursuit

Dispatch center receives a call from a bank that a subject has just attempted to cash a stolen check and is about to leave the building. A camera operator sees a suspect matching the bank's desrciption enter a vehicle and drive out of the area. Using multiple cameras city wide, the suspect vehicle is followed as it drives toward the freeway. Although the camera loses site of the vehicle once it goes into the parking lot, responding officers have been getting a running commentary of the suspect vehicle’s DOT and arrive seconds later to locate and take the suspect into custody.
