Detroit, MI - In a dramatic chase, a Michigan State Police officer was able to spin-out a suspect's vehicle on the westbound Davison ramp just west of I-75 on Wednesday afternoon. MSP and the Detroit Police Department were in pursuit of the vehicle for about 15 minutes. The suspect, believed to be a parole violator, was spotted driving near French Road in the City of Detroit and then hit the highway. As the suspect was driving the TrailBlazer on the freeway ramp, an officer was able to tap the suspect's vehicle, sending it into a spin and onto a grassy median where the vehicle came to a complete stop.It's called a precision immobilization technique or PIT Maneuver.
