Produced by Alan Parsons (as in Alan Parsons Project). This is the 45 version of Al Stewart's Top 10 hit, "Year Of The Cat". In 1976, the song peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, while it was a bigger hit on the Cash Box Top 100 chart, making it to #4 in 1977. The original album version runs 6:40. Stewart went on to have three more Top 40 hits; the Top 10 hit "Time Passages", "Song On The Radio", and "Midnight Rocks". Only one of his songs missed the Top 40 on Billboard; 1977's "On The Border", where it peaked at #42, but just barely made the Top 40 on Cash Box, where it went to #39.
