After Hours on SEPTA: AEM-7 and ALP44 on the Gel Train

Each Fall, SEPTA runs what's known as the Gel Train. Usually consisting of a diesel locomotive and cab car, the 2018 runs made use of the recently retired AEM-7s and ALP44. Spraying a mixture of sand, gel, and water onto the rails, these trains protect the tracks from leaf residue buildup, which can cause braking and traction issues if left unchecked.
