Karnataka Express famously known for its twin Diesel Engines for a change showed up with the least expected Loco in its home territory. This is most probably the first time the train is departing from Bangalore powered by a Electric Locomotive . Presently Karnataka Express runs on Diesel Traction between Bangalore to Daund and vice-versa.The train gets a loco change at Daund to a WAP7 locomotive till its destination New Delhi and back. Due to excess rain water overflowing on the Tracks near Kalluru Railway Station on the Bangalore - Dharmavaram -Guntakal Section.
