Abandoned bag with suspected bomb found at Mangaluru airport│Daijiworld Television

Mangaluru, Jan 20: A suspicious looking, unattended bag was found abandoned at the airport on Monday January 20. The bag was found kept in the rest area meant for the passengers outside the airport. Bomb squad undertook detailed check of the bag. A wired device, suspected to be a bomb, was found inside the bag. At the same time, Bajpe police and airport security staff, which were alerted and pressed into service, are on high alert. They have been taking measures to ensure safety of people and infrastructure.According to sources, a man in an auto-rickshaw came to the airport and placed the bag. Sources at the airport said that bomb squad from Bengaluru has been asked to rush to Mangaluru. The bag with the suspected device has been placed at an open ground.
