A walk through the Ameristar and Lodge casinos in Central City, Colorado

In 1991 casinos appeared in the Colorado mountain towns of Central City, Blackhawk, and Cripple Creek after voter approval. These quaint, historical mining communities have never been the same since! This recording starts in the Ameristar casino then crosses Colorado Highway 119 to The Lodge casino. Interesting to note that the City of Blackhawk banned bicycle riding on most of its streets and roads in 2010. In 2013 the Colorado Supreme Court overturned the ban.
