USA: Manhunt intensifies for Brian Laundrie in Florida reserve

Police continued their search for Brian Laundrie in Florida’s Carlton Reserve, on Thursday, after his girlfriend Gabby Petito’s remains were found in Wyoming on Sunday.
Special vehicles and equipment could be seen at the reserve amid a heavy police presence as the manhunt stretched into a fourth day. The efforts included dive teams specialised in marine tracking and recovery of objects and bodies.
Laundrie, who police say is a person of interest in Petito’s death, went missing after officials started to investigate her disappearance. According to his parents, he failed to return from a hike at the Carlton Reserve on September 14.
The couple had been travelling together in their van until Laundrie returned home without Petito on September 1. The two had interactions with police after reported altercations, but no charges were filed. Petito’s parents reported her missing on September 11. The coroner examining her remains ruled her death a homicide.
