USA: Elizabeth Holmes makes brief court appearance at her trial during jury deliberations

Elizabeth Holmes, the former CEO of health technology company Theranos, made a brief court appearance at a federal court in San Jose on Tuesday as a jury deliberated her criminal fraud charges.
Holmes is accused of knowingly misleading investors, doctors and patients about the company’s blood-testing capabilities. The company claimed it could test for several medical conditions with just a few drops of blood from a finger prick.
The appearance came after jurors asked if they could take the jury instructions home, which the judge denied. Holmes showed up in court in response to a question from the jury.
The trial has been long delayed, including for the birth of her child. Her company, which had attracted high-profile investors and partnerships, had once been valued at $9 billion (€7.9 billion)
No verdict has been reached, and the jury will continue deliberating on Thursday.
She is currently free on bail.
