Emma faced bleak future as she was slated to be sold off in Chinese meat trade. As part of horrific ordeal, her front legs and parts of her tail and ears were removed. Thankfully, she was rescued just in time through the efforts of many, including the non-profit organization, Dalmatian Rescue of South Florida. Moved by her story, Misha from Charleston, South Carolina, decided to adopt her.

Misha wants to make sure Emma lives her best life. At the same time, Misha wants to remind everyone about the horrors of the dog meat trade and why it should be banned. Emma is also working on becoming a therapy dog to help others in overcoming their challenges.
