The Japanese city of Nagasaki has marked the 75th anniversary of the US atomic bombing with a ceremony.

The mayor and survivors of the first atomic attack urged world leaders to do more to end nuclear weapons.

At 11:02am, the moment “Fat Man” was dropped in 1945, observers participated in a minute of silence.

Sunday’s ceremony was scaled down because of a rise in coronavirus cases in Japan.
