Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Dusseldorf on Saturday to protest compulsory vaccinations and COVID-19 measures put in place by the government to curb the spread of the virus.
According to the latest available data from Friday, compiled by the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Centre, Germany has seen over 52,600 new daily cases of COVID-19 with 269 related deaths.

Over 71 percent of the country’s population is currently fully vaccinated.
