Around 500 people joined a ‘techno-punk’ march in Berlin, Thursday, against gentrification and in solidarity with left-wing occupied building ‘Kopi’ a day before its planned eviction.

The rally started at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT) at Hermannplatz before protesters marched to techno music along the streets of Berlin-Kreuzberg until Kopenicker Strasse, where the occupied building is located.

Bottles could be heard being thrown from inside the building towards anyone getting close.
Kopi is one of the last left-wing autonomous housing projects in the German capital. Thirty residents have been living on its trailer site for 20 years.
