At least nine firefighters died as a ceiling collapsed in Duas Bocas cave in Altinopolis, Sao Paulo state, Sunday.
Rescue teams were seen working at the site of the collapse.
According to media reports, around 27 civilian firefighters were taking part in the training when the cave they were in collapsed.
