This is how to modify your carburetors on a 2006 Yamaha V-Star XVS 650 Classic. This tells of the necessary mods needed to install a performance jet kit. If aftermarket intake, and or exhaust has been installed, you must jet the carbs to compensate for the much more needed flow. I actually found that the float bowl modification was the easiest way to eliminate the fuel cut off solenoid. We went with the 124 main jets, Kit came with 120 and 124 we went bigger with 124, so with all modifications we made, it is now a stage 3 jet kit, and the carb is race ready!
