Yamaha RX-V467 review tested on JBL E80

I was really surprised with the sound of this little yamaha. I tested many modern(built after 2000) receivers, The Harman kardons are all bad, some pioneers sound better but non of the pioneers sound like this yamaha. Even the 15 kilo pioneers did not sound like this yamaha. The only modern receiver beating this yamaha is the jvc RX-dp10, but that one was a top of the line receiver from 2.500 euro, so almost 10 times more expensive. I never tested modern yamaha's before because I don't like the looks from them but looks can be deceiving. When you compare the yammy's with the HK ore other modern receivers the yamaha's are by looks loosing from all those modern receivers, when the yamaha designers would give the looks a extra impuls they would surely be on top of all those other modern receivers. I went in this test prejudiced, because I really thought it would sound as bad as all the other modern receivers, so a really big surprise there, I wish I would not have sold it before the test.......
