With cinematic footage shot in Istanbul and New York, this feature documentary explores issues of identity, womanhood, and language from the perspective of women who have made the decision to settle somewhere far away from their homeland. Interviews with Turkish and American women are intercut with slices from their daily lives, and images of the places, people, food... they most miss. Parallels and contrasts about how Turkish women are perceived in the US, and how American women are perceived in Turkey are brought to life.
