There's an old line in writing books about writing to an end. It means that you should have your end in mind before you begin, so you don't wander aimlessly to destinations unknown. Comics have been one long, endless and ongoing saga... but shouldn't writers still write to an endpoint? Well, the good one should. So where did things go wrong?
