Won't let Hemant Karkare's memory be tarnished: Former top cop

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Julio Ribeiro speaks up about the questions raised by the National Investigation Agency on the police probe into the 2008 Malegaon blasts. Tarnishing Karkare's image is something that he will not accept, he says. "Since he is not there to defend himself, we are going to defend him," he says on NDTV's Walk The Talk. He alleges that the questions being raised are in order to free the key accused Sadhvi Praggya and also weaken the case against Col Purohit.
