Woman PASSES OUT on the Flight! Syncope
This is an airplane emergency!
So they called over head on this last flight is in a doctor on this flight we need some assistance. so I said okay let's see what's going on maybe I can be of some help I went forward there was young female she was on the floor passed out not responsive extremely pale. She was Caucasian however she was extremely pale and I could hardly notice her lips.
As per the air hostess who actually saw what happened that she slid down gradually as if she basically fainted as she was gettimg up. she did not hit her head she did not have any shaking movements. I surely had some idea what this could be I went down on my knees, checked her pulse and it was extremely faint. I realize that she had an episode of likely syncope which is a very transient loss of consciousness. I raised her legs up which were actually bent at the knees and she started to come around actually very quickly.. I kept my fingers on her wrist and I could gradually feel her pulse coming back from extremely faint to solid. I asked her a few basic questions such as what is your name where is she and that showed she was mentally alright although drowsy and trying to gather herself as to what happened. she start to feel better and I asked a her a few more questions as to ascertain the cause of this episode. So she did not have much of a breakfast and she had been running around and it was actually also a bit warm in the airplane. so it seems she was volume depleted and in this scenario she dropped her blood pressure especially when she stood up. she was young in her twenties she did not take any medication and did not have any medical problems so very likely this episode was due to dehydration. we got the Flight Attendant to give her some juice and fluids. Few minutes later she was perfectly fine. So need to keep in mind that when you're running around do not forgot to take care of your own self. So just wanted to share that this in case it may benefit somebody. well anyways stay healthy and stay safe and goodbye for now
