Do you think the Khalil Mack trade was good or bad?
Description:
What gives? Weren’t the Raiders supposed to be in win-now mode? The AFC West is abysmal. So why trade the franchise player away? Fans are calling for Jon Gruden’s head on this one, and it’s easy to see why; Mack is one of the most dominant edge rushers in the league and was the cornerstone of their defense. Trading him away when the division is at its weakest is tantamount to waving the white flag for the season.
So why is Gruden still employed? Why is he still heading the team he seemingly just tore apart? The offense is the best it’s been in a long time, and the defense was only going to improve with Bruce Irvin, and young guns like Gareon Conley and Obi Melifonwu. It’s because Gruden is cheap right? It’s because he wanted control of the team and to do things his way, a la Chip Kelly, right? RIGHT!
Obviously there was a rift in the organization if they let a generational talent like Mack walk, right?
