The Non-Canon Expert discusses why Obi-Wan Kenobi believed it would be impossible to redeem his former friend and Padawan Darth Vader back into the light, explaining how the idea of redemption of Jedi who fell to the dark side was viewed historically by the Jedi Order and how this related to Anakin's example, but more importantly, looking at the conclusions Obi-Wan made about Darth Vader years after Order 66.
This is a Legends story for Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader with information found in a number of Legends sources, but primarily within The Jedi Path reference book, "Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith: The Essential Guide to the Force," and the Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith novelization. I hope that you enjoy it!
