This is mainly because you can carry a ton of rounds very easy. In addition, 22 caliber firearms are very easy to use, train and offer hunting and defense capabilities. However, I stopped prepping on this round a while ago. Mainly because my preferred firearm for survival and defense is the AR-15, which is chambered on 5.56/ .223. Therefore, I am spending my time and money on that caliber. In addition, I think the AR-15 provides a higher level of defense, which is a very important aspect of survival.
