White House has fiercely foiled Pakistan on the release of Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed. The White House directly warned Pakistan that if Hafiz is not arrested immediately and the case is not prosecuted, the result will be seen as a "bad effect on bilateral relations and the image of Pakistan across the world." In a very strong statement on the issue, the White House called Pakistan as the nurturing country of terrorism-saying, The US President's office said that Pakistan's failure to prosecute Saeed and set up charges "goes a lot of disappointing message about Pakistan's promise to fight international terrorism and his claim to not shelter terrorists on their land." White House described Saeed as a "infamous terrorist" and said that there was an international agreement on the conviction of Saeed. The United Nations Security Council on behalf of this agreement was stamped in December 2008 under resolution 1267. Along with this, the Department of Treasury has declared it a specially designated global terrorist. The White House statement states, "As President Donald Trump's South Asia policy is clear, the United States expects a constructive relationship with Pakistan, but it is a decisive force against those militant and terrorist groups who are hiding on Pakistan's land. Expect the action which is also a threat to the area. Saeed's release is the step taken in the wrong direction.Indilinks News Network is the best portal through which you can share interesting news, photos and videos with your friends and all the people around you.
