Biz Tech Tips episode 92
OneNote is one of Microsoft's newer core products, with versions for Windows 10, Office 365, mobile devices, and more.
I like to think of it as a comprehensive, electronic binder.
Think of all the manuals, notes, and trainings that businesses probably have in notebooks somewhere, or all of the various notes that get taken but can't be lost. Now imagine all of those were saved into one easy to use program that could be synced to the cloud and shared across an organization.
You can take all sorts of notes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs, dictation, pictures, videos, calendar invitations, voice dictated notes, and more, and include them all in one place with OneNote.
You can even combine them, link between various notes and folders, and more.
Think of all the various notes and trainings that get done in your company, and then think about how helpful it'd be to have it one place with all of those various file types. New employees get access to the employee manual, with videos and pictures? Done. Creating projects and tracking processes? Done.
It's a pretty comprehensive and flexible program that I don't see getting much love, but that could be incredibly useful in building out your company's infrastructure.
Let me know if you have any questions, or if you use it and what capabilities you like or dislike.
