"WDR Big Band - From The Archive" is a new series, where the WDR Big Band presents compositions of great musicians , with whom the Band worked successfully in former times." Concerto for Jazz Orchestra" is a tune in 5 movements of Bill Dobbins, the former chief conductor of the WDR Big Band, who in 2002 went back to New York / USA. In the 3rd movement the soli are played by Johan Hörlén on alto saxophone, Max Seibert on trumpet, and John Goldsby on bass. Stefan Pfeifer-Galilea is leading the band. Produced on April 2019, WDR Studio 4, Cologne.
