Watercolor Painting Demo/Tutorial (38) - Landscape, Japanese Residential Scene / 水彩画 風景 描き方 メイキング

This is my watercolor landscape painting demonstration / tutorial video. As you may notice, my painting style is different from many other Japanese watercolor artists. Although my skills are still far beyond from Joseph Zbukvic, my style is greatly influenced by his masterpieces. He is one of the greatest watercolor masters in the world whom I respect the most. I edit my demo with 4 times speed (test sketch is at 8 times speed) and make it for only about 10 minutes. I don’t speak at all in the video (sometimes I put some texts though), but I believe you can learn how to paint such as my painting processes and techniques from it. By the way, it took me 4 years to paint at this level. Here are the main processes for my landscape painting. (Paper size: F6/410x318mm) 0. Choose a subject (over 1 hour) 1. Make a test sketch on a notebook (around 5 to 8 mins) 2. Make a sketch on a watercolor paper (around 5 to 15 mins) 3. Do a first wash (around 5 to 8 mins) 4. Paint details (around 1 to 2 hours) I'm also still in the middle of learning, but I hope my demos will help you.
