Watch: Strong sandstorm lashes southern region of Xinjiang, China

A heavy sandstorm has lashed the southern region of northwest China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region since last Sunday. The sandstorm has been accompanied by wind gusts upward of level 10 and the temperature has dropped by as much as 10 degrees Celsius. The dust has engulfed almost everything, seriously impacting daily life and damaging crops. It is said that this is the strongest dust weather the southern region of Xinjiang has ever suffered.
