A few years after Linda lost her legs and right arm, her husband, Dave, devised a way to carry her on his back in a backpack. When their children were young they did many one to two week remote, wilderness kayak and canoe trips. He's also carried her on overnight backpack trips--carrying her 4-5 miles up a trail, leaving her and then going back down to pick up a pack loaded with camping equipment. A 15 mile roundtrip just so they can can backpack together. His legs do double duty. True Love!!
