Watch Donetsk Road Sign Being 'Russified' By Separatists

Pro-Russian separatists in East Ukraine decided to remove the soft sign from a road sign for Donetsk which lies on the road leading into the city. "If we are Russian speaking, and yes we are Russian speakers, we want to make it clear for everyone what is correct Russian. We’re educating people in correct usage," one of the separatists told Hromadske. By removing the soft sign the city's name is now spelt in Russian as opposed to Ukrainian. He further explained, "Ukrainian held territory everything is written in Ukrainian...It’s just we pass by it all the time.
