In a Congressional hearing, Marie Yovanovitch, the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, disputed the idea that the Ukrainian establishment was working against then-candidate Donald Trump. “We didn’t really see it that way,” Yovanovitch said in response to questions from Republican counsel Stephen Castor. The House Intelligence Committee heard testimony on Nov. 15 from Yovanovitch who was forced out of her position after a smear campaign led by Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.
