Hi it's Laura Coleman with Just Muscles here in Woodburn's spectacular tulip fields. Today's quick fitness tip is all about walking sideways. I often say, "when going straight ahead isn't going well, try going sideways! " So, in order to walk sideways you don't actually want to bend your knees. You want to keep your legs straight, put your weight on your heels; and as you move to the right you going to put your weight on your left heel. So we're going to push through the left heel. Try and feel -and you can put your hand on the outside of the hip- to help you figure out if your left glute is actually firing. And then we are going to move to the left trying to get that right glute to fire. You obviously want those glutes to be working equally -that's always our goal -and again, if going straight isn't going well, try going sideways.
