Voxel Landscape from 2D image in Blender 2.8 EEVEE journey 80s retro vaporwave animation

First of a series of abstract photos 3D journey exploration using their natural colours palette and depth information to create pseudo voxel landscape in Blender 2.8 EEVEE! It's amazing what you can do today with free software, free online resources and a 7yo computer! Software used: Blender 2.8 and the new amazing "almost" real-time render engine EEVEE and Davinci Resolve for editing the clips and do some colour correction. The pseudo voxels are created without using any addon or Python scripts, just the standard Blender modifiers. Please let me know if you would like to watch a tutorial on how to make this!
