Josephine County Administration Meeting, February 12, 2015 Wally Hicks, Legal Counsel: "We're here to discuss the contract, the proposed contract, with Mr. VonHolle. Last week, the Board approved his, uhh, application for Economic Development funds." Mark VonHolle: "And then, y'know, with Items F through K, what I, what I did is I amended that to reflect Jackson AND Josephine County, cause it was a two-county initiative." "There are in the application, uh, metrics that are more specific to Josephine County..." Simon Hare: "Mm-hmm." VonHolle: "But when the original application was submitted, it was based on a two-county regional, for cumulative totals in a two-county region." "And also, the, the timeframes associated with those 'targets,' umm, were adjusted, umm, and I sent you as well [unintelligible]." "And that, and that accurately reflects what we talked about and what my application states. So, if you have that adjustment..." (To Wally Hicks) "Did you have that, access to that part of the package, perchance?" Hicks: "Yes." VonHolle: "Wuh, okay, so you guys have that in your package, that particular new memo adjusting the scope?" Hare: "I've got the e-mail, but it's not necessarily in the package." Keith Heck: (grunts) Hicks (to VonHolle): "The package I provided to the Board." VonHolle: "Yeah. I was just asking if they have access to that so we can talk about it today, if they have it." Cherryl Walker: "No, I have e-, I have an e-mail, but [unintelligible] first referencing." Hare: "Yeah, I'm [unintelligible] right now." (reading the VonHolle e-mail - seemingly for the first time) Editorial Note: The contract was changed to read that VonHolle could use our money to relocate companies to Josephine or Jackson County. Cherryl Walker was upset because she wanted SOREDI to get that kind of deal.
