From Jordan’s FB page:
If you are interested in being a kidney donor, the process to get started is pretty simple. All you need to do is send an email to
[email protected] and say you would like to request a donor packet on behalf of Jordan Rhodes. You should receive an email back shortly with a questionnaire attached. This is your first step to finding out if you can be a potential donor. It takes less than 15 minutes! You will need his date of birth, which is 1-7-11. You will hear back from the wonderful ladies in the transplant department at Brenners Children’s Hospital (Colleen and Amanda) if they have any follow up questions or to let you know if you can move on to Phase 2 of testing. All testing, should you move forward, is at NO COST to you. Jordan’s insurance will cover it. And you are under zero obligation throughout the entire process. If you send an email and do not hear back, please call the transplant department at 336-713-5685. We know the perfect match for him is out there! We just hope to find it before it’s too late. ❤️

From his aunt:
Jordan is my 8 year old nephew who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. He has been on dialysis his entire life, and his time is limited. Due to a micro-vascular system, he has no more viable veins/arteries to place another dialysis port, and his current - and final - port location is showing signs of infection.
Jordan has been accepted to be a patient at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota where they have more advanced and rigorous life-saving treatment plans available for him, but due to the move across state lines that will be required, we aren't sure what will and will not be covered by insurance. The travel fees alone (airfare, rental cars, gas, food, etc.) will be substantial, and we have no idea how long he will need to remain at their facility. I am hoping to raise as much money as possible to help Jordan during this time. We have exhausted all our options locally to get him a kidney transplant. No one in the family is a match for him, so we continue to pray that the perfect kidney for him will be found before his time runs out.
If you feel the holiday spirit move you and wish to donate to Jordan, please know that it will be greatly appreciated! Please continue to share his story. We know that a perfect match is out there!
