Virology Lectures 2018 #12: Infection Basics

At this point in this lecture series we move from studying virus infection in cell culture to animal hosts, and to understand viral pathogenesis the process by which viruses cause disease in their hosts. In this lecture we discuss infection basics: how viruses enter hosts, spread to different tissues, and transmit to new hosts. We also consider how geography and season may affect virus infections.
