This Ritchey Ascent is old school awesomeness. It was a joy to start it on its life to being restored. I say that because once it was done, and I rode it, I wanted to give it more - so, expect to see it again.
That all said, it was fun to do a build focused on using parts from the Salt Lake Bicycle Collective, the guys there are awesome helpful and there are vintage bike parts everywhere; so, so, so awesome. It's my new happy place. If you are in the Salt Lake area be sure to check them out. https://bicyclecollective.org/salt-lake-city
For this restoration I used Spray.Bike frame builder's wax to protect the raw parts of the frame and shine up the paint. They have been a great partner and I truly love using their products and working with them as a company. If you are restoring a bike, consider repainting using Spray.Bike product, you will not be disappointed.
