Solution for Blank Screen in Medianav. The reason for Blank screen is "The NOR Chip(boot memory chip) - is empty or corrupted" The suitable way to fix it using either JTAG port or Direct chip programming. In my Case, in my previous videos, i pointed out that in this board the CPU didn't get detected and hence i couldn't use JTAG. So, i used Direct Chip programming. Usually, the NOR chip will be healthy. The cost of programming this is very cheap where many UNAUTHORISED DEALER CHARGE nearly 50$ which is very high for this work. Its unethical to charge very high. It is similar to programming a laptop or desktop BIOS chip which cost 4 to 5 $. Same price is applicable to here. In case you want to replace the chip, the cost of chip is just 3 to 4 $. Usuallly no need to replace it . The material needed is just a soldering iron and a programmer(cheap programmer is availble for 40$ to 70 $ with software , which can be used for many other purpose ). Program it at your own risk with care. Steps First find out the NOR Chip . Its no: MX29LV320ETTI-70G. Its present at the bottom side of the board. Carefully remove the chip using Soldering iron. Place the chip in the programmer and follow the steps to program. The file to be loaded in the chip is Bootloader.bin. Its usually 2MB . Select the file of correct version to be programmed eg. 7.0.5 or 6.0.4 or 6.0.3 so on.... Program the chip. Solder the chip back to board. The boot works as usual.
