Very Rusted Press Restoration

I found this Precision Press to my local flea shop. This is a manuall press particularly suitable for accurate assembly, precision punching and light press work. Designed to give lasting trouble free service , the Ram & mating Pinion are manufactured in high tensile steel with machine cut teeth to ensure full tooth surface with a central accurately aligned to the center in the ram itself. The ram can be fitted with adjustable depth stops and slide way gib adjustment. Index of operation and materials: 00:01 presentation 00:56 begin disassembly 03:12 preparing for removing rust with MC-51 05:30 grinding all the parts with wire wheel machine 07:32 cleaning all the shiny metal parts with metal cleaner and scotch brite 08:51 polishing all the shiny parts with metal polish and cloth wheel 09:46 degreasing with alcohol 10:00 protecting the parts for painting 10:21 apply anti-rust spray 11:15 sanding the primer 11:37 first coat of the Hammerite paint (blue nuit) 13:53 second coat of paint 14:56 start reassembling 18:26 applyng the anti rust oil Owatrol If you like this restoration please share and subscribe Disclaimer: I am no professional.
