Six men and one woman attempted to enter the parade route a block away at 6th Avenue, before police intervened. Also in New York on Thursday, between 50 and 60 protesters upset over the decision not to indict Wilson rallied at 33rd Street and Broadway and briefly staged a sit-in. None of the protesters were detained.
