This is unboxing of Revell kit 04702 - Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4. It is a Hasegawa repack, and one of the last Me-109s released by Revell before they new tool Messerschmitt appeared on the market. In general this is considered to be the best Me-109 in 32nd scale, but it has it's disadvantages compared to the new Revell tooling. Like for example, the fuselage is divided into tail and front section just in the middle of the two halfs which are supposed to be glued. That makes alignments a bit tedious process, but nothing major for an experienced modeler. Hasegawa and Revell kits of Bf-109 got famous after releasing of Floyd Werner Jr. full build video of that kit. It is a thorough follow up on how he builds his 109, and he does an amazing job with it. The kit is not a new one, thus some of its details are missing, for example many of the rivets. However, some still consider it the best Messerschmitt 109 out there, eventually second only to the new tooling of Revell. Revell is more suitable for adding on a resin engine and aftermarket cockpit, but overall they are comparible. I hope you will find the video helpful and check out for my review of Bf-109G from Revell /the new tooling/ to compare both engineerings by yourself! www.dnmodels.com
