UN bemoans lack of funding for efforts to curb the Ebola outbreak

There's a troubling development from the Ebola outbreak in that country. A doctor in the eastern part of the country has been hospitalised on suspicion of being infected with the virus. 97 of his contacts have been identified and are being monitored for symptoms. Armed militia have secured the area where the doctor is hospitalised, to limit the risk of spread. At least a-hundred and 3 cases of Ebola have been reported, with 61 dead so far. The UN is working with the DRC Health Ministry to combat the spread of the virus. Measures include experimental Ebola vaccinations and awareness campaigns about water, sanitation and hygiene. However efforts to control the outbreak are being hampered by a lack of funding
