11/1/11. Turf Fienz closed out the youth-led rally at Oakland city hall: SWAGN 4 JOBS & JUSTICE! The youth and people of Oakland called on the city to ensure union, family-wage sustaining jobs that ban the box at the army base redevelopment at the Port of Oakland. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to provide thousands of jobs in a city where communities of color have faced mass structural unemployment for decades. Remember city hall: we must invest in our youth! The best antidote to crime is a job!
