TTY Mode for LG cell phone?

Does anyone know how to get the TTY mode to work on this cell phone, UX260? I have it set to "TTY Full" and it still doesn't work. Please help me! LG customer support was a joke!
I am hoping I can switch over to just a cell phone instead of having 2 phone bills. Not much luck so far.
