Trying to explain 2010 Chevrolet Malibu wiper blade confusion (and probably w/other blades/vehicles)

The connectors are not the same, but there is a way to get either one to work. I made this because the new blade installation instructions did not explain everything, and because some such blades evidently take more force than others to attach. Maybe this will save someone an extra visit to a shop, or a trip back to a parts store, or even exchanging a new blade and still making no progress.
