After tasting Korea's samgyeopsal (pork belly), he left his native United States to come to Korea. For two years, Noe has been exploring Korea, a heaven for food enthusiasts. Sundae (Korean sausage), gopchang (beef tripe), bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes)...there isn't a single Korean food that doesn't delight him. He constantly searches for new Korean food, and posts videos of his adventures on his blog. Responses were encouraging. His blog became highly popular, making him a well-known "K-food blogger." For K-food blogger Noe, each region of Korea is another treasure island. His favorite destination is Jongno, an area in downtown Seoul. Jongno is home to the livelihoods of many Koreans and to a vast array of Korean foods. He guides us through Jongno's food alleys. There's one food that even Noe has yet to experience, samgyeopsal that is native to Korea. Trying out native Korean samgyeopsal is on Noe's bucket list. To make his dream a reality, he heads to Jiri Mountain, the most recognized producer of native Korean black pigs. Will he get to taste Korea's unique black pig samgyeopsal in Jiri Mountain? Next, he heads to Damyang in South Jeolla Province. Noe lives in Seoul, but he is curious about the foods of other provinces. Damyang in particular is famous for being home to Korea's best provincial food. While he's there, Noe also gets to visit a jonggatjip, or a clan house, where the best traditional food is made.
