I wanted to build a model of a boat I am planning to build. This is how I transferred the drafts directly onto the plywood without time consuming measuring and drawing.
A copy shop scanned the original plans and burned them on a CD. At home, individual parts were blown up with imaging software as needed from which the copy shop made another Laser Print.
This is how its done: Lay the printout face down on the plywood and arrest it with a weight. Moisten the paper with a small cloth soaked in Acetone. Trace the more visible lines with strong pressure. You have to hold the paper with your other hand, of course.
Done!
Now you can coarsely cut out the parts and finish them with a planer or a sanding disk.
